Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re thinking about coming to the TRS Summit, you’re probably trying to sort out the practical stuff first. Where do I stay? What’s included? Do I need to bring anything? Totally fair questions.

At MCIEF, we hear these all the time, so we pulled together a clear FAQ to help you feel ready before you even book your flight. This should give you a solid picture of what to expect so you can focus on what really matters, learning, connecting, and getting closer to your TRS goals.

Are course materials and fees included in the registration?

Yes. Your registration covers the course materials and fees. There are no surprise add-ons for the core Summit content.

Is there a discounted room block at the Hyatt Regency DFW for Summit attendees?

Yes. Once you register, you’ll automatically receive a link to book your room at the discounted rate.
Quick heads up: the Summit is held right at the Hyatt Regency DFW, so staying there makes everything easier. No long commutes, no scrambling between sessions.

Are meals provided during the Summit?

None are guaranteed. Last year, we were able to provide two meals thanks to generous sponsors. We’ll share updates closer to the event once plans are finalized.
A simple way to think about it: plan as if meals are on your own, and anything provided is a bonus.

Is there an airport shuttle between DFW Airport and the hotel?

Yes. The hotel offers a shuttle service.
That said, the Hyatt Regency DFW is literally across the street from the airport. There’s even an elevated walkway connecting them. If you’ve ever dealt with long airport transfers, this setup feels refreshingly easy.

Is there a dress code?

We recommend business casual.
Think of what you’d wear to meet clients or attend a professional workshop. Comfortable enough for long days, polished enough to make a good impression.

Will CE credits be provided?

Yes. CE credits are provided. If you’re also working toward maintaining your license, this Summit checks that box while giving you practical knowledge you can actually use.

What does a typical day at the TCS/TRS Summit look like?

You can expect a full day of sessions, short breaks, and time to connect with other attendees. We keep things moving so you stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed. A detailed schedule will be shared before the event.

Who is the TCS/TRS Summit best suited for?

This Summit is built for insurance professionals working in the motor carrier space who want to better serve trucking clients and grow their expertise. Whether you’re newer to transportation insurance or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll walk away with practical ideas you can use right away.

Will there be opportunities to network with other attendees?

Yes. One of the biggest benefits of the Summit is being in the room with other advisors who are working through the same challenges. You’ll have plenty of chances to connect between sessions and throughout the event.

Does attending the Summit help me earn a designation?

Yes. The Summit supports your progress toward either the TRS or TCS designation, depending on which path you choose.

If I earn one designation, how close am I to earning the other?

Once you earn either the TCS or TRS designation, you’re already halfway to the other. You’ll only need four more classes to earn the additional designation, which makes it a natural next step if you want to keep building your expertise in the motor carrier space.
