Seasoned professional with extensive transportation, labor, employment, and complex commercial litigation experience. I also have substantial experience leading companies in the wholesale and transportation industry in a Vice President and General Counsel role.
Broad understanding of the issues faced by companies in the transportation industry and decades of experience counseling local, regional, national and international clients in logistics, supply chain and transportation operations. Served as President of The Transportation Lawyers Association (2017-2018) and recipient of the TLA Distinguished Service Award.
In addition to my transportation practice, I have extensive experience in advising and assisting clients with labor and employment matters including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair labor practice, union election campaigns, collective bargaining, grievances and commercial and corporate litigation in both federal and state courts. I counsel clients with employment-related investigations involving claims of employee misconduct and also with workplace incidents involving the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). I represent companies before federal and state agencies including the Department of Labor, EEOC, NLRB, OFCCP and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC).
As a trial attorney, I have successfully litigated in a spectrum of civil disputes in the 3nd and 5th Circuit Courts of Appeal along with state and federal courts in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. I am also a trained mediator with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, National Arbitration and Mediation and FINRA. I have served as the Management Chair of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.
