Course Description
This course is designed for insurance underwriting professionals who work with motor carriers. Participants will gain understanding of current, effective tools for encouraging and analyzing truck driver qualifications with the goals of both improving fleet driver quality and increasing pool stability. There will be discussion of important driver traits that tie statistically to accident likelihood(frequency). A detailed discussion of the trends within the driver force, both current and projected, will give insight into the need to dynamically address driver recruitment and retention.

Educational Learning Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of effective tools and methods used to recruit drivers.
  • Be exposed to the evolving changes in the supply of drivers and discussion surrounding issues relating to underwriting.
  • Explore the duties of the underwriter to address driver resourcing and retention issues on a risk by risk basis.
