Course Description
This course is designed for insurance underwriting and claims professionals who work with motor carriers. Participants will gain introductory knowledge of most current technology available used to either prevent accidents or lessen their severity. Technology and trucking industry experts will catalogue, detail and evaluate different technologies with which insurance professionals should be familiar. Analysis of statistical trends related to each technology including trucking industry acceptance and adaptation will be presented. Given the technological nature of discussion, this class is not filed for continuing education credits.
Educational Learning Objectives
- Develop an understanding of various current and evolving technologies designed to improve truck safety
- Be exposed to the latest truck safety technologies and their impact upon over the road safety
- Review each technology presented to evaluate the cost and benefit of items currently available to truckers.
