Course Description
This course is designed for insurance underwriters and producers who work with motor carriers. Participants will gain an introductory knowledge of risk review including exposures and coverages for trucking risks. Following discussion of the importance of risk exposures, participants will learn the generally accepted relevant submission items to prepare, including informational aspects which must be understood and analyzed prior to compiling a submission. Next, participants will be involved in robust discussion regarding submission best practices including the opinions from several different risk decision makers. We will differentiate the various roles and distribution systems common to the motor carrier insurance industry.

- Develop an understanding of proper risk review for the purpose of initial evaluation for a future insurance submission.
- Learn the importance of information review and where information fits into the submission process.
- Be exposed to the common transportation insurance applications and the various attachments required in submissions
- Understand the importance of presenting and understanding a complete risk picture in order to make sound risk decisions.
